NH Research 9510-1200 Regenerative Grid Simulator
For grid-tied applications, the NHR 9510-1200 Regenerative Grid Simulator offers a flexible, high-power testing option. It offers both AC and DC output configurations and functions in 4-quadrant mode with configurable voltage. This simulator has a maximum current range of 2700 A per phase and up to 8100 A in single-phase mode, and it can handle up to 1200 kW or 2835 kVA in AC mode. It has a maximum power output of 1200 kW and current ratings up to 7200 A in single-channel mode. For DC output, it supports constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC), constant power (CP), and Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) modes. It's perfect for high-power testing situations and research labs because of these features.
The NHR 9510-1200 is designed with Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) applications in mind. It does this by amplifying control signals from simulation systems operating in real time using an integrated power amplifier. This makes it possible to accurately simulate and evaluate grid disruptions such as Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) patterns. In order to satisfy different testing requirements, elaborate test sequences including both sub-cycle and multi-cycle disturbances can be created using pre-programmed macros and user-defined wave shapes. The grid simulator allows for the precise execution of LVRT test patterns and the direct simulation of common power line disturbances.
The NHR 9510-1200 has an advanced digital measurement system that makes it easier to verify for compliance with standards like IEEE1547.1 and UL1741. By allowing users to track and log particular occurrences over extended periods of time, this system makes it possible to measure important performance metrics like ramping and clearing times with accuracy. The gadget makes it easier to determine whether a product complies with strict industry standards by reporting event cycle statistics.
For increased versatility, the NHR 9510-1200 provides a variety of control options. Standard tools such as LabVIEW and VeriStand can be used to program it completely. For Windows applications, SCPI and OS-independent LabVIEW VIs are available. An integrated touch panel or a more sophisticated remote soft-panel interface are other ways that users can control the system.
